Outbound SSL Decryption Issue with BlueCoat Forward Proxy Gives Security Warning Popup "The connection to this website is untrusted" (Doc ID 2076806.1)

Symptoms

While using Java SE 7 update 76, an issue with outbound SSL decryption is observed while using BlueCoat forward proxy (not reverse).
The proxy does SSL interception. The certificate that is used for the emulation is a trusted certificate. The certificate is issued from custom PKI.

The client application displays a popup warning that "The connection to this website is untrusted." In the application log files, the following errors can be seen:

Java SE 7 update 72 and 7 update 65 were working fine.
