Security Warning Dialog Appears Even Though "Do not show this again..." Checkbox Is Selected
(Doc ID 2077052.1)
Last updated on NOVEMBER 01, 2023
Applies to:
Java SE JDK and JRE - Version 7 to 7 [Release 7]Generic Windows
Symptoms
When starting an untrusted and unsigned Java Web Start application with no certificate, a security warning dialog will appear.
Selecting the "I accept the risk and want to run the application." and "Do not show this again for apps from the publisher and location above" checkboxes then clicking the "run" button...
... means the next time the application is run, the remainder of this security warning dialog should not display. Sometimes however, even though the "Do not show this again...." checkbox has been selected, this dialog is still displayed at startup.
