vServers Status Shown As SUSPENDED In EMOC In Exalogic Virtual April 2015 PSU 2.0.6.2.1 (Doc ID 2078398.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.2.1 to 2.0.6.2.3
Linux x86-64
Oracle Virtual Server x86-64

Symptoms

In Exalogic Virtual racks running with April 2015 PSU 2.0.6.2.1, problem of vServers status showing as suspended is observed in EMOC console. But the vServers are actually either running or in stopped state. This can be confirmed by looking at the status of the vServers from OVM Manager console and also by logging into the running vServers via SSH.
This issue happens intermittently but very frequently where the status of the vServers keeps flipping between SUSPENDED to RUNNING/STOPPED status (correct status) in EMOC.

One other additional symptom which is also likely to be observed when the issue happens is unable to login to OVM Manager console.

This issue is more likely to happen in Exalogic racks having more guest vServers (60+ or so vServers).
