ORA-01219 When Connecting With JDBC Thin Driver (Doc ID 2088401.1)

Symptoms

Following SQL query executes in SQL*Plus, but fails when executing via a Java application using the JDBC thin driver for the connection to the database.

The error received by the application is:


ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
ORA-01219: database not open: queries allowed on fixed tables/views only

This issue only happens when the database is in mount state.
