Migrating or Reconciling Some Entries from an Older OID 11g to a Latest OID 11g Version Using oidcmprec Tool Fails with: "Pwdexpirationwarned Attribute Has Duplicate Value" Or "Pwdfailuretime Attribute Has Duplicate Value" (Doc ID 2098088.1)

Last updated on MAY 24, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 11.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A few entries are not migrated / reconciled with oidcmprec tool from an older OID 11g source, e.g., 11.1.1.5, to a new target OID version 11.1.1.9.

Errors reported:

Entry cn=entry1 error: pwdexpirationwarned attribute has duplicate value. VALUE: 20120322234812Z

Entry cn=entry2 error: pwdfailuretime attribute has duplicate value. VALUE: 20130817044746Z

The source oidcmprec report shows duplicate values for pwdexpirationwarned for the cn=entry1:

dn: cn=entry1,cn=OracleContext,dc=<COMPANY_NAME>,dc=com
pwdexpirationwarned: 20120322234812z
pwdexpirationwarned: 20120322234812z

For cn=entry2, the report does not show duplicates for pwdfailuretime.

Steps to Reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Ldifwrite entries from OID 11.1.1.5 source.
2. Use oidcmprec to reconcile the entries.
3. See the above error reported for the two problem entries.
