Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Oracle WebCenter Portal - Version 11.1.1.8.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

The requirement is to invoke an custom task flow using a resource action handler tag in Portal (Spaces).

For example, is it possible to invoke a custom task flow when an objects such as the search toolbar button, which uses a resource action handler tag, is pressed from a Home portal?

This documentation outlines how to invoke an custom task flow using a resource action handler tag and a service-definition.xml :

The examples available appear to be for custom WebCenter Framework applications built in JDeveloper (e.g. http://blog.vassit.co.uk/knowledge/using-resource-action-handler-tag).
Can similar functionality be used for a Portal application?
