Enterprise Capture Client does not Create a Batch or Document when Importing

When using the WebCenter Enterprise Capture Client, pressing the Capture button does create a batch or document.
For example, after logging in to the Capture client, press the Capture button and select a document of any file type, then press open. The Capture client will appear as though it is importing the document, but in the end, nothing happens. The batch or document is not created and no error message displays.
This happens when a new Client Profile is defined, or an existing one is modified.
