Last updated on MAY 13, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.2.0 and later

Goal

This document clarifies the role of two locking schemes employed on Exalogic compute nodes running Oracle Virtual Server (OVS) within an Exalogic Virtual deployment and illustrates how to confirm that an expected lock file exists for each running vServer, which is needed to prevent OVS from attempting to run two instances of the same vServer at the same time.
