Special HTML Characters can be Misinterpreted in UCM Memo Fields (Doc ID 2107069.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 18, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.8.0 to 11.1.1.8.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When saving URL addresses in Memo metadata fields, the sequence "&para" is replaced with the "¶" sign after submit. For example, if the below link is saved in a Memo metadata field:

http://<Sample Domain>.com/context/page?param0=value0&param1=value1&param2=value2

The address will be incorrectly converted to:

http://<Sample Domain>.com/context/page?param0=value0¶m1=value1¶m2=value2

Changes

You have to add at least one Memo metadata field.
