When using a Load Balancer, Logging Out from the WebCenter Content: Imaging UI Generates Error 404 (Doc ID 2110213.1)

Last updated on APRIL 12, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content: Imaging - Version 11.1.1.8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When clicking on the Logout button in WebCenter Content: Imaging (11.1.1.8.0), the below error occurs:

Error 404 - Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
xx.x.x 404 Not Found
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.

If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address

WebCenter Imaging is a two node cluster fronted by an F5 load balancer. The client does not have HTTP server. All request from the load balancer is forwarded to the Imaging cluster. For both of the Imaging managed servers, the fronted end address is set to the load balancer address. The frontend host and port are only set at the cluster level.
