Symptoms

Search in Contributor UI is throwing an error:

"Error occurred during search. Please change your search query and try again. If the problem persists, please contact your system administrator."

In sites.log:

 

Changes

Some user has dropped a 3rd party jar, e.g. lucene-analyzers-common-4.5.1.jar, that contains the StandardAnalyzer.class which conflicts with the out of the box one.
