Images and Thumbnails Cannot be Displayed in Enterprise Capture dc-client Page "java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" (Doc ID 2113548.1)

Symptoms

Emails containing specific PDF documents are imported by Import Processor then passed along to Document Conversion Processor. These images are converted to TIF successfully. However when the users go to view the batches in the dc-client page, the images cannot be viewed for those documents. When attempting to display the batch images in the java console logging the following message is repeated many times:

Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-2" java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

The PDF documents that are problematic have page size of approximately 23.60 x 30.56 inches.
