File Download Using apex_web_service.make_rest_request() Truncates Files after Upgrade from APEX 4.2 to APEX 5.0 (Doc ID 2119833.1)

Symptoms

1. Upgraded from APEX 4.2.3 to APEX 5.0.2
2. Was using an apex_web_service.make_rest_request() call to download files of types Word, Excel, PDF.
3. After the upgrade to 5.0.3, all files are truncated when downloaded. No errors occur.

 

Changes

 Upgraded from APEX 4.2.3 to 5.0.2.
