When using a very large proxy.pac file with JRE 1.8.0_66, the applet fails to run.

Symptoms

The Java Console log shows that the applet is attempting to run using an incorrect Proxy server.

During the execution of the FindProxyForURL(url, host) function in the proxy.pac file, a StackOverflowError takes place with the following thread dump:
