OUD11g - IsMemberOf Is Not Correctly Evaluated If User DN Contains Comma (Doc ID 2123134.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 29, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Unified Directory - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Consider a user entry where the RDN contains a comma (,) such as "cn=<FIRST_NAME>\, <LASTNAME>".

The DN for the user entry therefore looks like "cn=<FIRST_NAME>\, <LASTNAME>, ou=ad, ou=people,dc=example,dc=com".

In the case where this user entry is a member of a static group (i.e. objectclass: groupOfUniqueNames)...

The calculation of the user's isMemberOf virtual attribute will not display the group membership.  Calculation of the isMemberOf virtual attribute is correct in all other scenarios.
