Exalogic Virtual : High IO wait on OHS guest vServer (Doc ID 2123203.1)

Symptoms

Oracle HTTP Server (OHS) Cluster is distributed on two separate Exalogic guest vServers.

One vServer is always showing high IO and slow response times, while other vServer is working as expected without any issues.

Both Exalogic guest vServers are at the same OS and patch (i.e. PSU) levels.

What could be the cause ?

For example, from the following metrics. The kjournald process is the most active and apparently it's causing the high IO which is at 100% constantly:
