Last updated on NOVEMBER 14, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle Exalogic Elastic Cloud Software - Version 2.0.6.0.0 and later
Linux x86-64
Oracle Virtual vServer (x86-64)

Purpose

We would like to monitor Exalogic compute nodes using a SNMPD with a third party software (e.g. Solarwinds).

For example, the monitoring modifications on the compute node done as follows:

1. Run: chkconfig snmpd on

2. Allow read only access with a password from your desired server, for example 10.10.0.0/16

3. Run: service snmpd start

4. Setup Solarwinds monitoring of that compute node using the newly added community string
