Symptoms
On : 11.1.1.7.0 version, SOA Fusion Apps
The issue was discovered when using an out of the box Fusion composite when executing a synchronous invoke within an asynchronous BPEL process .... the following error occurs.
ERROR
The following error is reported when viewing the Composite Instance from Enterprise Manager (EM).
Waiting for response has timed out. The conversation id is urn:<conversation id>. Please check the process instance for detail.

Note: This error is recoverable from the Fusion Applciation Workbench - i.e. the Composite Instance is NOT in a critical/non-recoverable state.
An error is reported in the SOA log files:
