Chrome Browser Shows Obsolete Cipher Suite Warning for SSL Connection (Doc ID 2127952.1)

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 11.1.1.1.0 and later

Symptoms

This happens only in Chrome browser and may happen with any https server. This experience was reported with Oracle HTTP Server and Oracle Web Cache.

When click the 'Padlock' icon in URL address bar 'obsolete cipher suite' message is displayed in the 'Connection' tab.

Chrome v 49.x

 

Changes

SSL has been configured using Oracle Fusion Middleware documentation, SSL certificate obtained from a Certificate Authority.
