After upgrade to APEX 5.0 Emails Stick In Mail Queue with ORA-06502 and ORA-29279 (Doc ID 2128241.1)

Symptoms

1. After upgrading from APEX 4.2 to 5.0, emails are stuck in the mail Q - WWV_FLOW_MAIL_QUEUE - with the following errors:

2. The error messages are accurate for the emails are addressed to invalid recipients and there are other problems with email format or structure.  However, prior to APEX 5.0 emails with these types of errors would be automatically moved from WWV_FLOW_MAIL_QUEUE to WWV_FLOW_MAIL_LOG where they could be easily purged from the APEX GUI interface.

3. In this case, the emails remain in WWV_FLOW_MAIL_QUEUE and, in some cases, are repeatedly sent.

 

Changes

 Upgraded to APEX 5.0 from APEX 4.2.
