How To Stop Content Already Batch Loaded From Being Indexed (Doc ID 2135771.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Situation:

Thousands of items were batch imported into WCC. They are all in the Done state, waiting to be indexed. They are progressing through the indexer, but it is taking a long time.

In the meantime, users are checking in new content items. These items are in the back of the indexing queue, so these newly-checked in items cannot be found in a search since they have not been indexed yet.

Is there a way to move these items to the top of the queue, so they are indexed before the imported batch of content?

If not, is there a way to stop the batched content from being indexed so the newly-checked in content can be indexed?
