Unable to Connect to Enterprise Capture Email Server Using "STARTTLS" and Getting Errors "Error connecting to account, Unrecognized SSL message" (Doc ID 2140037.1)

Symptoms

When trying to set up an Email Import processor using the STARTTLS, the connection fails and the logs shows the following error:

oracle.odc.exception.CaptureException: Error connecting to account"

Caused by: javax.mail.MessagingException: Unrecognized SSL message, plaintext connection?;
