External Vendor Not Able To Connect To JMS Queues After Upgrading Cert To SHA2

A client application will access a WLS cluster through a Load Balancer (LB) that has been configured as seen below:

Architecture: Client--------->HW LB------------------>WLS cluster (JMS servers)

After updating the LB certificate with a SHA256 certificate, the client connects to WLS and receives messages for a few minutes and then hangs forever until the client is restarted and the cycle repeats.
