Last updated on OCTOBER 19, 2022

Applies to:

Management Pack for Oracle GoldenGate - Version 12.1.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

User has two OEM users <USER1> and <USER2> to monitor GG instances using ports XXXX and YYYY respectively. When the administrator has assigned below privileges to <USER1>

Operator any target
Edit any Parameter file
Run any OGG command
View Contents of any OGG discard file
View Contents of any OGG report file

<USER1> is monitoring and managing both the instances using XXXX and YYYY ports even though it is supposed to monitor on port XXXX alone.

Say for example, when we have remove Operator Any Target privilege to <USER1> and let the user have only below privileges

Edit any Parameter file
Run any OGG command
View Contents of any OGG discard file
View Contents of any OGG report file

Then <USER1> is monitoring GG instance using XXXX fine but unable to Manage them ( not able to stop, start or edit parameter file)
