How To Grant OEM Users Administration Rights to manage only One GoldenGate Instance When Multiple Instances Are Running On The Same Host? (Doc ID 2144162.1)

Last updated on APRIL 25, 2017

Applies to:

Management Pack for Oracle GoldenGate - Version 12.1.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

User has two OEM users prova_user and test_gg to monitor GG instances using 7449 and 7451 respectively. When User has assigned below privileges to prova_user

Operator any target
Edit any Parameter file
Run any OGG command
View Contents of any OGG discard file
View Contents of any OGG report file

Prova_user is monitoring and managing both the instances using 7449 and 7451 ports even though it is supposed to monitor on port 7449 alone.

Say for example, when we have remove Operator Any Target privilege to prova_user and let the user have only below privileges

Edit any Parameter file
Run any OGG command
View Contents of any OGG discard file
View Contents of any OGG report file

Then Prova_user is monitoring GG instance using 7449 fine but unable to Manage them ( not able to stop, start or edit parameter file)
