Java AMC: How to Add Java Options when Running WLS as a Windows Service (Doc ID 2144823.1)

Last updated on MARCH 31, 2023

Applies to:

Java SE JDK and JRE - Version 8 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

Beginning with Java Advanced Management Console (AMC) 2.1, AMC runs in an Oracle WebLogic Server container.  On Windows, a WebLogic Server instance can be run as either a user process or as a Windows Service.  The documentation for running WLS as a Windows Service is Setting Up a WebLogic Server Instance as a Windows Service.  AMC recommends running WebLogic with certain JVM command line options but the AMC documentation does not cover how to add or change those options when WebLogic is run as a Windows Service.  This document explains how to add or change Java options when AMC is run in a Weblogic container that is being run as a Windows Service.
