Console Activate Changes Fails When Using Shared Storage With nolock Option (Doc ID 2146094.1)

Symptoms

On a WebLogic domain with multiple managed servers distributed on two or more physical machines, the domain files are located on a shared storage filesystem which is mounted on all the physical machines where the managed servers are running. After we make any configuration changes from the WebLogic console, when we activate changes, the console throws the following exception:
