Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) 11g, e.g., 11.1.1.7.0.

Custom plugin that had been working for many months suddenly starts to fail.

Seeing issues with authentication requests from clients to OID service.

Restart of OID helps temporarily.

The following exception message is seen on the OID server logs with debug level on:
