When Multiple Cluster Nodes Start at the Same Time the idccs_components.hda File is Replaced with Default Copy (Doc ID 2147801.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 02, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Content - Version 11.1.1.5.0 to 11.1.1.5.0 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.1.1.5.0 version, Content Server

All the production UCM servers stopped serving the content after a restart of the managed servers.

The system is a two node clustered 11.1.1.5 content server.   Found after the restart the idccs_components.hda file was corrupted.   Found an existing KM <Note 2040632.1> to replace the file.

This file no longer has references to custom components enabled in the system:  ...\user_projects\domains\base_domain\ucm\cs\data\components\idccs_components.hda

1. Will this file get corrupted by itself or is there any specific scenario in which this file gets corrupted ?

2. Root cause of why this file got corrupted all of the sudden on our production servers which caused the outage ?

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Attempt to start all UCM cluster nodes at the same time.

Changes

Restarted both UCM cluster nodes at the same time.
