Symptoms

Oracle Virtual Directory (OVD) 11g 11.1.1.4 or higher.

The memberOf attribute is not searchable explicitly.

When searching for all user attributes in OVD, memberOf attribute is returned but when requesting explicitly for memberOf attribute, it returns error:
