Documents Not Treated as Portal Files After Recreating the Content Server Connection From WebCenter Portal, Direct URL and Search Results URL is Missing the Portal ID (Doc ID 2162426.1)

Symptoms


ACTUAL BEHAVIOR

After changing the default UCM connection name and Security Group from WebCenter Portal,
the following issues are observed:

Issue 1

The direct URLs of documents from a Portal are is missing the internal id (guid) of the Portal.

You can reproduce the issue as follows:

  • Navigate to a Portal created before changing the UCM connection.

  • In the Document Page in the Portal select a document and then the "Get a Link" option.

  • Copy the URL to another browser.
    You should see the document opens but in the user home space instead of the portal where the document belongs to.



Issue 2

The documents from the search results page are missing the Portal name / details for documents that were created before changing the UCM connection.

You can reproduce the issue as follows:

  • Search a document using the Search box from the banner WebCenter Portal.

  • Compare the results for files uploaded before and after changing the UCM connection.
    You will see the documents uploaded after changing the UCM connection show an icon indicating this documents belongs to a portal and it also shows the Portal name.
    The same information is missing from a document uploaded before changing the UCM connection.


  • Click on the document link.
    This should open a PopUp window with the file preview.

    You will see the documents uploaded after changing the UCM connection show an "Open Portal" button.
    The same button is missing from a document uploaded before changing the UCM connection.

 

 


EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Expect to see same behavior with documents uploaded before and after changing the UCM connection.
