Unable to open SSL connection with Infra DB Host on OID 11g - SSL handshake failed: SSLSessionNotFoundErr (Doc ID 2165851.1)

Last updated on APRIL 23, 2018

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The following describes the following issue with the new OID installation for use with EBS:

During configuration of SSL, enabled SSL on both oid2 and oid1 instances by mistake.
Now, unable register any EBS instances with OID. See the following error:
*** ERROR : Unable to open SSL connection with Infra DB Host. [Root exception is SSL handshake failed: SSLSessionNotFoundErr]

In addition, a screenshot from the EM UI shows many missing OID
Server options in the configuration screen, with the following error also displayed:

"Failed to load server configuration. Check Oracle Internet Directory Server Logs.

It appears there are significant issues with an incorrect Installation and Configuration of the OID,
that may require a de-install and start the install/config process again with the
correct settings.

It will be unknown as to how many parts of the installation are set incorrectly on such a basic
level, and re-installing may simply be the quickest option.
