Dbaas_monitor Does Not Reflect the Correct Database Status After Downloading and Configuring ORDS Standalone from OTN (Doc ID 2170590.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle REST Data Services - Version 3.0.5 and later
Oracle Database Cloud Service - Version N/A and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The default version of ORDS was up and running DBaaS monitor. The current version of ORDS did not include a required feature so a new version of ORDS was downloaded, configured and installed in a separate location.

The DBaaS Monitor tools is not available with the new configuration, so the original configuration was restarted (ORDS 3.0.4).
https://ipaddress/dbaas_monitor/ brings up the appropriate page, but the page indicate the database listener is down.

What is causing this inconsistency?

Changes

Downloaded a new version of ORDS from OTN and installed in a DBaaS VM.
