In Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) 12.2.1, the below error/exception is thrown while performing the following steps:

1. Create an initial archive

2. Create a new Execution Type of work repository In ODI Studio Topology and log in to this work repository from ODI Studio

3. Try to import (Initialize Deployment Repository..) the Initial Deployment Archive file from step 1 above
