Symptoms

While attempting to log into the Exalogic ZFS Storage Appliance BUI console or CLI, the BUI console will hang on login. The CLI will display "Waiting for the appliance shell to start..." and  "dropping into failsafe shell...".

 

Changes

 A recent configuration on the ZFS appliance to add an LDAP server.
