sideNavigationPanel Error After WebCenter Spaces and SOA Are Upgraded (Doc ID 2171888.1)

Symptoms

ISSUE CLARIFICATION
===================
After upgrading SOA Suite 11.1.1.6.0 and WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.6.0 to WebCenter Spaces 11.1.1.8.8 and SOA Suite 11.1.1.7.8, the following error is received:

  javax.el.PropertyNotFoundException: The class oracle.webcenter.webcenterapp.internal.view.backing.SpacesNavigationBean' does not have the property 'sideNavigationPanel'.

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
=================
WebCenter Spaces is inaccessible

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
===================
WebCenter Spaces should be accessible after upgrade.

STEPS
======
1. Upgrade WebCenter Portal 11.1.1.6.0 to 11.1.1.8.8
2. Upgrade SOA Suite 11.1.1.6.0 to 11.1.1.7.8
3. Navigate to WebCenter Portal
4. Error appears

Some applications that use WebCenter Spaces are unavailable
