Daily Cron Scheduled Jobs Shifted To August 6/7 (skipped 7 Days) (Doc ID 2172093.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 01, 2023

Applies to:

Identity Manager - Version 11.1.1.3.0 to 11.1.2.3.2 [Release 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

If a scheduled job is set to "Schedule Type: Cron", the day of the month field in the cron expression is set to match the day of the month in the Start Date.

For instance, if a job is set to "Schedule Type: Cron", "Recurring Interval: Daily", "Days between runs: 1", and "Start Date: July 12, 2014 7:05:00 PM EDT",

Then the "CRON_EXPRESSION" column in the "QRTZ92_CRON_TRIGGERS" table is set to "0 5 19 12/1 * ? *".

The job then runs daily from the 12th to the end of every month after the start date, but not from the 1st through the 11th.

Current workaround is to set the "Start Date" to the first day of a past month once the actual start date has passed, but before the first day of the following month.
