Records with Attachment not Always Purged/Archived (Doc ID 2176054.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 08, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle SOA Suite - Version 11.1.1.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 11.1.1.7.0 version, B2B Engine

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
When attempting to purge data with an attachment, in one case the record is successfully purged, but in another case the record is not purged. Furthermore, if an archive is done for the purge, the successfully purged record is not archived like records without an attachment.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
The purge operation should successfully delete records with or without an attachment. Also, if an archive is performed, it should be done for records with an attachment as well.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1) Run purge/archive that covers a time period that includes records with an attachment.

For example:

2) If you discover some records with an attachment were not deleted, this is the primary issue.
3) Import the archived data into another database. If you do not find all records with an attachment that indeed were successfully purged, this is the secondary issue.
