OID DIP 11g Provisioning Profile Fails with: DIP-20050 DIP-20345 Error initialzing ProvPLSQLWriter - ODI Exception while Initialising PLSQL Writer : DIP_GEN_SPACE_STR (Doc ID 2178282.1)

Symptoms

Setting up a Directory Integration Platform (DIP) 11g provisioning profile to synchronize, for example, Oracle Label Security (OLS) data from Oracle Internet Directory (OID) to a database.

Also following Document 1450227.1.

The profile fails with errors:

DIP-20050
DIP-20345
Error while initializing ProvPLSQLWriter

(There is no "caused by" follow up stack.)

Tried restarting the entire stack, including rebooting the server, but it did not help.

Able to successfully connect from a command prompt on the OID server, using the same connect string as in the profile:

 

Also verified the hostname in the connect string is not a SCAN listener.
