After SAML SSO setup, login to /bpm/workspace does not redirect to SSO

User has setup SAML SSO setup in his 12c environment in weblogic and made changes for BPM workspace as per documentation http://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/soa121300/SOAAG/GUID-5E4E3425-F0E3-4E97-B5AE-2EEE7A205ACF.htm#SOAAG97530.
When user opens the url http://<application URL>/bpm/workspace it does not gets redirected to SSO. But if user use the following urls then it gets correctly redirected to SSO.
