Corrupted Office Word 2007 document (docx) after download from WebCenter Portal (Doc ID 2189166.1)

Symptoms

Using WebCenter Portal (WCP) 11.1.1.8.7 configured with WebCenter Content (WCC) 11.1.1.8.13.
WCC Desktop Integration for all Office Products is in use.

Trying to download an Office Word 2007 document from WCP results in the following error:


The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Place the Content Presenter task flow on a page in WCP.
2. Select a DOCX document, right-click and select 'Download' option.
3. Error from above is returned.
