URL is routed to the same cluster node for each request instead of load balancing to other cluster members. For example, there is the following configuration:
LB --> 3 Web Servers --> 5 Sites Nodes
- Load Balancer is configured correctly
- Web Servers are configured correctly, including the rewrite rules
- CAS configurations are setup correctly for the clustered Sites instances
Symptom: Attempt to access www.example.com, client is redirected to Sites Node 1. Even when Sites Node 1 is shutdown, then any attempt to access www.example.com, client is still redirected to Sites Node 1 but receives a 404 error and NOT the expected Request Timed Out error.
