Framework Folders: Propagation Does Not Update Folder Information of Subfolders (Doc ID 2195133.1)

When performing propagation in Framework folders, even with the Force Propagation option enabled, the metadata values of the contents under the current folder or the sub-folders can be updated, and the sub-folders' folder metadata forms can be updated; however, the Folder Information values of the sub-folders themselves won't be updated.

STEPS TO REPLICATE
-----------------------
1. With Framework Folders enabled, log onto Content Server.
2. Navigate into a folder and select Edit / Folder Information which contains limited set of metadata such as the Folder Name, Owner, Security Group, etc.
3. Update/change any of the values and save.
4. Select Edit -> Propagate to propagate the field(s) you changed.
5. Changes made to the Folder Information of the parent folder do not get propagated to sub-folders.


BUSINESS IMPACT

From the current implementation, the folder information form cannot be updated through propagation and the security group and account settings in folder information form will have to be manually updated for each subfolder.
