How To Regenerate the Changelog Created on Another Directory Replication Group (DRG) Replica OID Node (Doc ID 2196449.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 30, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle Internet Directory - Version 10.1.4 to 11.1.1 [Release 10gR3 to 11g]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Oracle Internet Directory (OID) two node Multi-master Replication (MMR) Directory Replication Group (DRG) configuration with Oracle Identity Manager (OIM) LDAPSync to pull user updates from only one of the two OID nodes.

If an update or new entry is created on the OID server 'Node 1' that OIM is pointing to, then there is a changelog entry created and OIM can pull it (updates successfully).
The update or new entry is also pushed to the other OID server in the Directory Replication Group (DRG) (Node 2).

If an update or new entry is create on the OID server 'Node 2' that OIM is NOT pointing to, then the user is replicated to Node 1 successfully.
However, no changelog entry is created for the update from Node 2 to Node 1.
Therefore, OIM does not have any changelog entry to pull from.
