Props Files For Auto-Start Getting Deleted During Reboot Scripting Of Stop/Start Of OHS (Doc ID 2196603.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 09, 2023

Applies to:

Oracle HTTP Server - Version 12.1.3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using Oracle HTTP Server 12.1.3.0.0, the storeUserConfig password files are getting deleted during reboot scripting to Stop/Start OHS.

Goal is to use the auto-start scripts for Oracle HTTP Server 12c instances during the Linux Reboot.

When using the command, the system will prompt for your Node Manager password.

$DOMAIN_HOME/bin/startComponent.sh componentName storeUserConfig

Enter your password.

The system responds with this message:

"Creating the key file can reduce the security of your system if it is not kept in a secured location after it is created. Creating new key...The username and password that were used for this WebLogic NodeManager connection are stored in $HOME/.wlst/nm-cfg-myDomainName.props and $HOME /.wlst/nm-key-myDomainName.props"

The key is the existence of these files:

nm-key-base_domain.props
nm-cfg-base_domain.props

Calling the same scripts for validating the reboot procedures. The entire ".wlst" directory getting deleted when calling script as root user,

For example: (/bin/su - webadmin -c '/opt/webtier/scripts/startServer.sh stop') 1>/dev/null
