ORA-01001 Happens During Execution of SQL Statements Via JDBC (Doc ID 2200088.1)

Symptoms

On : 11.2.0.40 version, Thin JDBC driver

Newly deployed application release in WebLogic 10.3.6.08 using JDBC 11.2.0.4 against an Oracle 11.2.0.4.7 EE (RAC) reports ORA-01001: invalid cursor intermittently.

The issue can be reproduced with these code examples:

1. Example #1:


The issue happens with the following JDBC drivers:
1. 11.2.0.3 with the patch on the issue: "Statement.cancel() Leaks Cursor on Database (Doc ID 1558622.1)"
2. 11.2.0.3 with the patch on the issue: "ORA-00600[17281] and Ora-1001 When Using JDBC Driver 11.2.0.4 (Doc ID 1623312.1) "
3. 11.2.0.4
