Increasing the Column Size Of The 'Settings' Of 'Preferences' Table To Accommodate Another Directory Path Results in Error "TCM-0777, A database error occurred" (Doc ID 2200901.1)

Symptoms

Is it possible to increase the Settings column of the WebCenter Content: Imaging Preferences table to more than 255 characters?

When attempting to add more directory paths to the 'InputDirectories' field, the following error appears:  

The total length of all 5 directory paths have reached the 255 column limit.
