Invalid WebCenter Forms Recognition Export Directory when Using PSDrive to Setup File Share (Doc ID 2203615.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 28, 2022

Applies to:

Oracle WebCenter Forms Recognition - Version 11.1.1.9.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

When the Export RTS Instance tries to export a batch to Z:\WFRInput, it reports the error:

Invalid Export directory Z:\WFRInput

Due to internal policies, a business is not allowed to install Samba to mount the /InputAgent fileSystem from Linux server where WebCenter Content: Imaging is running. Since Samba cannot be installed, the option is to use Microsoft PSDrive to mount the filesystem. The command used to mount the file system is:

New-PSDrive Z -PsProvider FileSystem -Root \\IPAddres\ebs\app\oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\base_domain\IPM\InputAgent\Input -Persist.

Once the Drive Z is mounted with NFS permissions 777, it is possible to manually move, create and delete files from it. However, when the Export RTS Instance tries to export a batch to Z:\WFRInput it reports the error Invalid Export directory Z:\WFRInput.

Although <Document 2145491.1> discusses the error, this article only mentions Samba as the option to mount the Linux FileSystem into the Windows server.

Is Samba the only option or can PSDrive be uses as well?
