Goal

Is it possible to have one directory server instance on-premise and another one located in the cloud (such as; Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure)?  Same question for proxy server instances.  Bandwidth between the on-premise and cloud locations will be well maintained (i.e servers can continuously communicate between each other).
