ODI Studio Fails With An "ODI-10188" and "JPS-01520" Error After Configuring External Authentication With Oracle Unified Directory (OUD) (Doc ID 2207093.1)

Symptoms

After configuring the external authentication against Oracle Unified Directory (OUD), Studio fails with the following error:

oracle.odi.core.security.InvalidExternalAuthenticationConfigurationException: ODI-10188: Error while login from OPSS.
JPS-01520: Cannot initialize identity store, cause: oracle.security.idm.ConfigurationException: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: [LDAP: error code 32 - The entry cn=common,cn=products,cn=oraclecontext specified as the search base does not exist in the Directory Server]; remaining name 'cn=common, cn=products, cn=oraclecontext'.
