Coherence Cluster Throws PartitionedfCache$InvocationContext.lockEntry Assertion Failure (Doc ID 2208780.1)

Symptoms

In a Coherence 12.2.1.0.0 cluster following Assertion fails when performing a put on a cache. Appears likely to have occurred at the same time as other get/put operations were in progress from other threads. As a result, future get or put (can't tell which) requests using the *same key* are get blocked indefinitely, regardless of the process or thread those requests are being executed from.
